Amy Stocker, Class of 1995
CURRENT LOCATION:
FAMILY LIFE:
My husband Joe and I just celebrated our daughter, Cali's 2nd birthday on June 4, 2006. She is
full of energy and is into everything (including, but not limited to, tormenting Snitchell, my 17
year old cat!) Also, Joe and I just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on July 1st while on
vacation in San Diego, CA this year.
My parents are enjoying being first time grandparents and also racking up a lot of
frequent flier miles in the process. My dad (yes, Mr. Parker) has been the principal of Sierra Vista
Junior High since 1999. My mom is now working as a massage therapist. My sister, Jennifer
(Saugus '96 alum) and her boyfriend Anthony (Hart '96 alum) graduated from CSU San
Marcos (near San Diego) in 2003 and got engaged the same year. After a very long
engagement, they finally got married on June 25, 2006 in San Diego. After teaching 4th
graders at Old Orchard Elementary in the Newhall School District for a year, Jenny decided
that being a school librarian is her true calling. She is taking classes part-time at Palomar
Community College and substitute teaching on the side.
EDUCATION:
I am attending NHCTC-Stratham for an A.A. in nursing in order to become an RN. I already
have a B.S. Degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology from UNH and my husband has
a B.S. in Electrical Engineering also from UNH.
EMPLOYMENT:
I am currently a nursing student during the day and a stay-at-home mom by night. I also
work part-time scoring tests for Measured Progress. I am formerly an applications engineer
at Thermo Electron: Control Technologies Division (on their 4th name change) in
Newington, NH (near Portsmouth, NH). Joe has been an electrical engineer at the
very same company for almost 7 years now. This division of Thermo Electron
manufactures and sells water baths and chillers for the semiconductor, laser,
and laboratory markets. Actually, one of their chillers cools the hydraulic pumps
in the Small World Ride at Disneyland!
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
What are those? I don't remember!
