EDUCATION:
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Whittier College in 1994, and a Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the University of Pennsylvania (not Penn State) in 2001. In 2007, I entered the Ph.D. program in Educational Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania.
EMPLOYMENT:
In between college and grad school, I worked for 5 years as a research assistant to a government contractor in Washington, D.C. After I got my Master's Degree I spent 2 years in Ukraine (not the Ukraine) teaching English, and one year in Moldova (between Ukraine and Romania) as teacher trainer. Then I had 6 months in Korea and 2 1/4 years in Riverside, CA teaching English to non-native speakers. Currently I am a research assistant at Penn.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
