Since 2000, many wonderful events have happened.
April 2001, I met my husband Chris Monjoy. We met at a Benefit Bachelor Auction. He was for sale, I bid until the price exceeded $100. In the end, I got the him for free.
Our relationship moved quickly, and we were engaged in September 2001 and married September 2002.
We bought a home in North Valencia. It was a small starter home so when I got pregnant in April 2003, we moved to a bigger home in Valencia Northbridge.
On December 26, 2003, we were blessed with a son. I can't believe he is already 3 years old. In March 2006, we added a daughter to the family. I feel very lucky to have one each. My son is all boy. He loves to get dirty, make a mess, and get his way. So far my daughter is more easy going.
I still work at Valencia Valley Elementary. Sixth grade seems to be a good fit. I am amazed how much these kids know. Overall, they are terrific to work with. Of course, there are times when I wished I worked at a Boarding School, and worse times when I wished I worked at an Orphanage. Parents make or break a school year. They can make work life easy or a living hell.
Ultimately, I am happy being a wife, mother, and a teacher. All roles suit me.
