Evan Cohan, Class of 1983
UPDATE:After graduating from Saugus in 1983 I immediately enrolled at UCLA, and graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees in biology. I worked for a government contractor while attending college in the area of engineering software management while financing my education. I specialized my studies in molecular biology and yearned for a career in medicine as a pharmacist. Unable to gain acceptance to a pharmacy program after 6 years of trying, I set my sights in doing research work and began employment in 1991 as biochemist for a medical reference lab. Still not satisified, and unimpressed with largely undeserving overinflated salaries, I decided to return to school and train as a high school teacher. I received my teaching credentials in 1995 from California State University Northridge and began working as a biology teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District at Granada Hills High School. I have been a biology teacher now for ten years and I am currently working at John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, California. My school's website address is http://www.jfkcougars.org I have also completed a supplemental teaching credential in geosciences at UCLA, in order to teach physical as well as life sciences.
II have no children but I am happily married and living in Simi Valley, California.
