Frank Lucatorto, Class of 1992
CURRENT LOCATION:
FAMILY:
I was married on a very cold Michigan day in December 1996 to the love of my life
and my best friend, Heather. We are coming up on our 7th anniversary. Currently we have
no kids but are planning, sort of, for future considerations. At least we have things in mind.
We have one pet, a cat named Loki (pronounced low-key) Dad still lives in
California and is the senior audio engineer for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He
has been there since 1992 and has won 6 Emmy Awards during his television career.
Mom is living in Dallas, Texas and working her tail off as usual. They divorced when I was
a sophomore but have since remarried to other people and are happy. My sister lives on the
other side of the country and is working.
EDUCATION:
Since graduation back in '92, I have been working my
tail off in the military so my school time has been extremely
limited. I got out of the Air Force August of 2002 and started to
complete my Associates degree right away. I did not waste any time.
I was a civilian for approximately 3 weeks before going back to school!
Gotta love that GI Bill!! Comparatively, I am behind most of my peers in the
school and degree game, however I am still attending and working my tail
off to get things done! Currently, I am attending the Community College of
Southern Nevada full time. I am going through the Law Enforcement Training
Academy program there along with 32 others, learning to be a cop. When I
graduate in February I should be getting hired on with a department here in
Las Vegas and I will be Nevada Post 1 Certified. It has been a blast and I love every
day of it!! The long run!!
EMPLOYMENT:
My first civilian job after getting out of the military was as a loss prevention
officer for a big sports store out here. I am currently not working as the
Academy takes up all of my time!!
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
These have remained the same for the most part: snowborading, hockey
(Go Kings!!!!), music and martial arts. I don't change too much in this arena.
MISC:
While in the military, the last 4 years were spent in Germany. Heather and I did
a lot of traveling and got to see some things that most people our age would
never get to see. We ran to Paris 3 times (didn't really run, took the train), traveled
to Scotland, Berlin, London, Salzburg and I even jumped a train with a few buddies
and rode down to Stuttgart to see Slipknot a day before my birthday last year!!
That was my birthday present to me.
:-) We also took a week-long vacation (and much needed vacation)
to the Canary Islands (off the west coast of Morrocco) and spent the time
there laying around and getting fat (well,I was getting fat anyway).
I did see some of the best scuba diving there I had done in a very, very long
time!! All that Spanish I learned from Mr. Madrid back in the day came in handy!!
Muchas Gracias, Señor Madrid!
