Married 13 years, since 1987

EDUCATION:

B.A., School of Communications and Professional Studies, emphasis in Instructional Media through the Radio-TV-Film program at CSUN
Graduated 1990 (pre-earthquake Northridge)

I did not live on campus, but it felt like it. I held down at least two on-campus jobs concurrent with theatre productions, internships and classes. I graded Writing Proficiency Exams. I took notes for deaf students in their classes. (It was like having a double major--rarely were their classes the same as mine.) I worked in the Office of Disabled Student Services as an Assistant to the Arts Program Developer. I worked Master Control for the video-relay classes broadcast out to Edwards Air Force Base. I worked at Northridge Hospital in their Education Department for credit; setting up slide shows for speakers, practicing editing, writing, and occasionally broadcasting weekly Bingo games.

EMPLOYMENT:

I just started a part-time appointment as Administrative Assistant for UCLA Healthcare's University Affiliated Program. This has to do with exposure of Doctoral Fellows, in various disciplines, to clinical training related to the area of Developmental Disabilities. Part of the program involves the NADC (seee link below), funded by a continuing grant for maintaining an on-line resource of special interest to artists, theatres and other venues seeking compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The rest of my time goes to keeping up with my kids, an eight year old boy (He's in the local cub Scouts) and one year old girl (She's into everything--literally).

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:

I knit my kids' Christmas stockings...I still don't have the dexterity or patience to finish a sweater.

I'm still a TV & film buff, but I haven't seen much this year in the theatre, at all, I'm going to be so lost when the Academy Awards come around.
