Kim Marino, Class of 1980
CURRENT LOCATION:
Central Square, New York, located north of Syracuse, New York
(man, it's cold here in the winter, 185 inches of snow, wind chill factor
-45 average). Left San Luis Obispo five years ago because I got married;
people here question my sanity because of that fact. It is beautiful in
Upstate: white Christmas, green in the summer, and the turning of the
leaves in fall.
FAMILY LIFE:
I was married with 2 boys, Brandon now 16
years and 6'4", typical teenager, Trevor will be 13 years on August 13th.
He is going to be a tall kid also. Then divorced. Remarried 5 years ago
to Michael Marino (my husband says yes, he is related to Dan, 6th cousin,
25 times removed and can't even get a pair of gloves from the guy). We have
one son, Alex (his initials are AM squared and it fits him to a tee), he
just turned 3 years old on June 13th. We have a black lab, J.T.,
who recently had 13 puppies. NO I did not keep any. And we have a crazy cat,
Hattie, who loves to get into the bath or shower with you. We live in a
very old house that has been updated, on a couple of acres with a stream
running in the back. Part of the property used to be a Christmas tree farm
and of course it has an old barn -- it kind of reminds me of a Country Living
magazine.
EDUCATION:
Contemplating going for my Master's in Architecture, of
course after Alex is in school.
EMPLOYMENT:
I am working in the field of Construction Management as an
Assistant Project Manager and Contract Administrator. I received my
Professional License two years ago as a Construction Contract
Administrator. I am currently serving on the Board as a Director for the
Construction Specifications Institute. Right now I am very busy with the
North East Regional Conference that we are holding in Lake Placid this
September.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
What spare time? OK, we like to go down hill and cross country
skiing in the winter, gardening in the summer, antiques all year round and
in the fall I am a hunter's widow. We do like to vacation in Kennebunkport
or York, Maine in the summer (lobsters are great and there is so much history), and
we make it out to California every summer, right there in good ole Santa
Clartia Valley. I can't believe how it's grown.
