EDUCATION:
I earned all of my degrees from the University of California Riverside. For my Doctorate degree, I studied atmospheric particles using an analytical instrument which I helped develop - Aerosol Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (ATOFMS). You can see the instrument at the Prather website
EMPLOYMENT:
From 1996 - 1998 I was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Joint Science department at the Claremont Colleges. During that time, I taught courses in general chemistry, analytical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and senior research.
Beginning in 1997 until now, I am a part-time Instructor of Chemistry at the University of California,
Riverside. I teach General Chemistry 1A during the Winter Quarter.
Currently, I am a full-time faculty member
at Crafton Hills
Community College
in Yucaipa, California (5 miles east of Redlands). Here I teach
courses in general chemistry and introductory chemistry.
