Kris (Nelson) Floyd, Class of 1984
CURRENT LOCATION:
FAMILY LIFE:
Married to Randy, (1983 Hart High Grad) for 18 years this August. Three
beautiful daughters: Charlotte, 15, Katie, 13, and Emily, 10. Moved back to
the SCV in 1994 after spending 6 years baking out in La Quinta (Palm Springs
area). Charlotte is a sophomore at Saugus playing Varsity basketball, Katie
is in the 8th grade at Arroyo Seco and plays soccer and Emily is in the 4th
grade at Santa Clarita Elementary, and is the Student Council VP. Randy is
Executive Director of the Antelope Valley Transit Authority.
EDUCATION:
I put in 2 years at various Junior Colleges (Valley, Pierce and Grossmont).
I then attended LA County USC Medical Center School of Nursing and graduated
as an RN. I worked for a year in OB and the Newborn Nursery at JKF Memorial
in the desert until we decided to start our family.
EMPLOYMENT:
I am a volunteer-a-holic, working on many projects at Saugus High. I am the
President of the Basketball Booster Club, President of the newly formed
Alumni association, just started working on a 5 year Strategic Plan and the
Action Team Partnership committee. I co-chaired the Hall of Fame award
dinner last year and will be chairing again this year. Next year I will
have 2 daughters at Saugus, a small break from 3 different schools. I have
a Senior Girl Scout Troop that has been together for 11 years. My oldest is
working on her Gold Award, youngest, her Bronze! I never imagined when I was
a Saugus that I would be a parent there. The best part
is hearing my Hart husband yelling, "GO SAUGUS!"
HOBBIES:
I sleep in my "spare time!" and love to read science fiction.
