Demitria Monde Thraam (nee Laura Carlson),
Class of 1983
CURRENT LOCATION AND FAMILY LIFE:
Currently living well in a tiny apartment in the scuzzy but cheap part of San
Francisco, CA with Deekoo L., my life-mate, best friend, and Overlord of the Known
Universe. No children, as I am happily sterilised. Waa and Aerr-Aerr, our two cats,
fill the role of kids (they're sweet, messy, aggravating, and bring us wondrous joy).
EDUCATION:
Did four years of college at the University of California, Berkeley. Did not manage
to graduate due to being irredeemably unable to comprehend mathematics. Finished
all courses for a BA in Fine Arts. Graduated (with flying colours) from an
extracurricular study of consciousness. Spent about five years completing graduate
studies at the San Francisco Academy of Street Wisdom (and Street Foolishness) the
campus of which is located in several ratty hotels, gutters and blind alleys.
(Would not recommend this course of study to any curious undergrads.)
EMPLOYMENT:
I am currently studying HTML and picking up an occasional job in data entry or
freelance web page design. Will hopefully be attending a pixel-pushing academy in 1999.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
I spend ALL my time glued to the screen of my 7500AV Power Macintosh, sending
my awareness out into the world in the form of little electronic packets. I much
prefer Photoshopping to mallshopping; with my income what it is, that's very fortunate.
I create neopsychedelic visionary pictures and write stories in my "spare time", which
translates to "just about always". These can be accessed at my
website, Thraam Transmissions.
THE WEB:
My favorite Web sites are:
