EMPLOYMENT:
Senior Aircraft Mechanic for Lockheed Martin at Sheppard AFB since
1984; USAF 1980-1984
MISCELLANEOUS:
At Saugus, my sister Paula and I
were both in cross country and track under Coach Spraker. I'm
sure glad you all honored him as he was a big player in both of our lives.
I enjoyed track more. Coach always told me that with my long legs, running would be a natural.
He forgot you need lungs too. Ha ha. But I loved the high jump and discus and
also threw shot put and ran hurdles. Most of all, Coach was like a big
brother who all of us could go to and talk.
Communication with the folks
back then was hard and he had good sound advice; but most of all he was a
really good listener.
'78-'79 was the beginning for many of us girls as we put
Saugus on the map.
We didn't have tradition to follow since the school was
just built and we had no idea what that word even meant. I mean, at Arroyo
Seco we wanted to call the school "cow pie high."
Thank god for the teachers
and faculty or you kids would really have wanted to kill us.
But, looking at your web site, you certainly have come a long way from where we started. I'm
proud of this school and web site. I've looked at others and they can not hold
a candle to it. Give all involved a huge pat on the back tell all the kids there
they are awesome. Be proud.
