Barbara Meier Carr, Class of 1979
CURRENT LOCATION:
We currently live in a town called Antelope,
approximately 15 miles northeast of Sacramento. We have lived in this
area for twenty-four years.
FAMILY LIFE:
Mark is married to Barbara (Meier) class of '79, and we
are going to celebrated our twenty-fifth anniversary in February. We
have two boys, ages 16 and 23. We also have Dalmatian, three cats, a rat
and a tank full of fish.
EDUCATION:
Mark has a AA Degree in Fire Technology and is working
on a BA in Fire Administration. He is a certified Fire Officer and Chief
Officer with the State of California. Barbara has attended a number of
classes in the dental field. She is working on a degree in business.
EMPLOYMENT:
Mark works for the City of Folsom Fire Department as a
Captain. Mark has been a Firefighter for twenty years and sixteen of
those have been with the City of Folsom. Prior to the Fire Department he
was in the Air Force from 1981 through 1985. Barbara has been a
Registered Dental Assistant for sixteen years.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
Mark likes doing things that are family oriented. They
do a lot together as a family, for example: camping, backpacking, day
hikes, fishing, etc... Both boys are into sports and dancing, the sports
comes from Dad and the dancing comes from Mom. Mark has been involved
in sports and competed in a number of competitions like the Firefighter
Combat Challenge, Firefighter Olympics and Adventure Racing.
