UPTDATE:
By August of '97 I was at my first base. Anyone who knew me back in high school would know that I would never join the military but I am so glad that I did. While I was in active duty I was fortunate enough to see the world, places like Guam, Japan, Alaska, Hawaii, Korea, and even the Santa Cruz Mountains. My favorite trip, however, was 7 weeks in India, a presidential support mission when Ex-President Clinton visited the country.
Also, while I was in, I decided to get married to my wonderful girlfriend Amanda. We have recently added to our family with our new son, Riley.
Having done my 4 years and had my fun, I became honorably discharged from active duty and went into the reserves. Shortly after, I moved back up to Redding, bought my house, and started to take over the family business: that busines being background investigations. Knowing that the business would be around for a while, and wanting to go on my own, I decided to follow my passion and found a job as the only mechanic for Lake Shasta Caverns. Being able to go to work in the morning and see a deer in front of my shop is my slice of heaven! I also went back to school but mostly for fun. Right now I am very close to completing 3 separate AA's.
Unfortunatley, after Sep 11th, I was called back to active duty and now I am currently half way through my 1 year activation. I am proud to be serving my country during the War Against Terrorism, even though I'm away from my wife and new child. Since I have been activated I've been awarded Airmen of the Quarter, sewed on my Staff Seargant's stripe, and have been of vital importance to my reserve squadron.
I a currently at: 3229 Stafford Drive; Shasta Lake, CA 96019
