FAMILY LIFE:

My brother Matthew (Class of '97) is a retired Marine Corporal, currently living in Ennice, NC. He has three children. My parents live in Pittsboro, NC. I have an adorable cat named Comet.

EDUCATION:

I graduated from UC San Diego in 1996 with a B.A. in History. I obtained my secondary teaching credential at CSUN in 1997.

EMPLOYMENT:

I work as a trainer for Alertnow, a rapid communication service for schools (e.g., if they have to cancel school due to inclement weather, or there is some type of emergency, they can notify all the parents simultaneously via phone using our system). I train schools on how to use the system. I get to travel all over the country, which is great fun. Previously, I was a junior high history and Spanish teacher for 5 years in California.

INTERESTS:

Animals; music (especially Natalie Merchant); traveling (Paris '02, Italy '04, cruises in '05 and '07); digital photography.
