FAMILY LIFE:
My father (Louis E. Brathwaite) passed away in 2001. He was on the Hart District School Board for many years. He died of heart failure. We miss him sorely. I wish my father could have met my wonderful husband and cuddled my sweet baby before he passed into the next world. I can only have faith that he is with us in spirit.
My biological mother also passed away in 2001.
I still have my step-mom. She was my father's wife for 35 years. Any of you who ever came to our house met her over the years. She raised me as her own.

EMPLOYMENT:
I am pursuing my dreams to become a writer and a singer. I am just putting the finishing touches on a book and I am currently pitching a reality television show. Keep your fingers crossed and look for my name in lights!

MISCELLANEOUS:
I left that phrase up here for three years. Finally I have decided to elaborate. I made a point of saying this because when I was a teen-ager and attending school with you I always wanted to share it but I was too shy. I wanted to fit in and I didn't want to be labeled a religious zealot.
Every summer I toured with the Baha'i's around the country as a dancer spreading the message of the oneness of humanity, the oneness of God and the oneness of religion.
This was during the era of break dancing and I was quite the dancer. (Bet you didn't know that.) We would take our boom box into a local park (with a permit of course) and perform a little teaser show for whoever was in the park. At the end we would invite them to a free stage show at a local auditorium. The stage show was elaborate with costumes and lights and skits and dance numbers. At the stage show, the audience would be filled with sometimes 100's of people and we would share the message of the Baha'i' Faith. This would go on every summer.
After all of the fanfare and celebration I would come back to Saugus High in the fall and be known as the jock on the track and basketball teams. Those summers were the best times of my life. My most cherished memories are of those times.
As an adult I want to tell you that the Baha'i' Faith is the best thing
that ever happened to me. Touring with them is not the only reason. There
are a multitude of other reasons. I received (and I am still receiving) my
spiritual education from the Baha'i' Faith..
