FAMILY LIFE:

Single.

EDUCATION:

Two in a half years at College of the Canyons. Intended to transfer to a 4-year university, but instead dropped out of college to work. Since then I've attended many technical seminars, and a Technical School (TriNet, on Lyons Avenue in Newhall). Through continuous self-study, I keep up-to-date with the rapidly changing fields of computer programming and networking. Certifications: I will soon be A+ and Microsoft MSCE certified. I intend to become Cisco CCNA/CCNP and Novell CNE certified within the next year or two.

EMPLOYMENT:

Since January 1998, I've worked for the William S. Hart Union High School District as a Computer Network Technician, repairing and maintaining the computers and the network at Canyon High School and Sierra Vista Jr. High.

Prior to this, I worked at WayForward Technologies (www.wayforward.com) for three and a half years as a Video Game Programmer. They did primarily educational software, and an occasional entertainment title. The job had several unique aspects, such as working with popular characters (Jim Henson's Muppets, Marvel Comics), seeing products I had helped create for sale on store shelves everywhere, working with other people (artists and programmers) with amazing creative talents, and seeing school children really getting into and enjoying the games I had helped create. Except for the 16-hour shifts we had to pull around deadlines, I really miss working there.

During College, I worked as a Technician at Ridge Valley Technical Services (a Cable TV Set Top Box repairer/distributer) in Canyon Country, and as a Delivery Driver and Host at Marie Callendars in Valencia.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:

Computer Programming, Computer Network Design and Troubleshooting, Video Games, Music, Gardening, Outdoors/Nature, History (especially Local History), Reading, and the Sciences (Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, etc).
