Trade and Technical Education

Trade and technical education prepares both youth and adults for a wide range of careers, from A (Aircraft) to W (Welding) that require varying levels of education: from high school to postsecondary certificates to two-and four-year college degrees. Courses vary in length and cost. Some examples are construction, communication technology, health, nursing, and drafting.

Advice on Choosing

Saugus High's School-to-Career Advisory Committee, the Santa Clarita Valley School-to-Career Partnership and the Saugus High College and Career Center joined together to host Trade and Technical School Fairs at Saugus High in 2001 and 2002. The purpose of the fairs was to provide students with a chance to gain information about career-oriented technical studies as they prepare themselves to compete in an increasingly demanding workplace.
