Telesis Community Credit Union – Community Advantage Scholarship Awards
Deadline: April 1, 2008
Telesis Community Credit Union in conjunction with the Telesis Community Non Profit Trust will award $10,250 in scholarships to local students who have a strong commitment to community service and a track record of academic excellence.

Each student will be required to submit a resume of community service activity as well as write two essays. Eligibility Requirements: A pplicant must be completing their senior year in a school located in Los Angeles County, Ventura County or in selected areas in Contra Costa County. Student must be in good standing with their school and may not be on disciplinary or academic probation.

Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program

The Robert C. Byrd Scholarship Program is designed to promote student excellence and achievement by providing scholarships to exceptional students who show promise of continued academic excellence. The scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of academic merit. Recipients must enroll in and attend a U.S. institution of higher education beginning with the 2007-2008-fall term. The $1500 scholarship for 2007-2008 may be renewed for up to four years.
