Science Current Events
1. Find an actual article cut out from a newspaper or Xeroxed from a magazine about a current event relating to science. You may use an article from a website as long as it is from the past week.
2. Write the following information:
A. Title of Article
B. Author
C. Name of source (magazine/newspaper)
D. Volume, number, date of source
E. Publisher of source
3. Write or type a summary of the article. Must be thorough. Do not plagiarize. Must be at least ¾ page in length double-spaced if typed. Must be at least a page if handwritten. (10 pts.)
4. Type your opinion and thoughts about this article in about 3-4 sentences. (5 pts)
5. Find two other sources you could get more information about this subject. They could be encyclopedia articles, websites, magazine or newspaper articles, or books. (5 pts.)
