Located in Rosamond , CA .

Open to the public Thursday to Tuesday, 10 am-4 pm (closed Wednesdays and Christmas day). There is an admission charge of $3 for adults, $1.50 age 3-17;

Take the 14 north about 60 miles to Rosamond (which is about 10 miles north of Lancaster ). There is only 1 Rosamond exit, which is also the exit for Edwards Air Force Base. Exit Rosamond Blvd. and go west (left turn, from LA). Go 3.5 miles to Mojave-Tropico Road ; there is a light green EFBC sign on the corner. Turn right, go about 1 mile to Rhyolite, and turn left. EFBC's driveway begins where Rhyolite ends.

Directions: Choose 8 different species of felines. For each species, list the following information:

• Common Name (Ex: Bobcat)
• Scientific Name (Ex: Lynx rufus)
• Description (Ex: Small cat. Light Brown in color. Pointed ears. Short tail)
• Range (what part of the world do they live?)
• Habitat (what kind of ecosystem?)
• Conservation status? (Are they endangered? Why?)

You will need to use additional paper. You may need to ask a worker for the answers to some of these questions.

If you have a camera, take a picture of yourself next to your favorite feline and attach as proof of your visit.
