Rules:
ØArrive
on time.

all necessary materials to class…including COVERED TEXTBOOK.
ØFollow
directions.
ØBe
courteous and respectful to everyone.
ØFollow
school rules…including NO EATING OR DRINKING IN CLASS and NO CELL PHONES
OR HEADPHONES.
Attendance:
ØSchool
attendance policy will be followed. FIFTEEN absences will result in a failing
grade.
ØIf
you are absent, it is your responsibility to get and promptly complete
missed assignments, including tests or quizzes.
ØIf
you are truant, you will receive a 0 on all work missed the day of the
truancy.
Tardies:
ØI
will follow the Saugus High School Tardy Lock Out Program.
·First
three tardies, you need a slip from TLO.
·Fourth
tardy you will receive OR.
·Sixth
and eighth tardies you will receive OR.
·Tenth
tardy you will receive a Saturday School.
·Twelfth
tardy you will receive a suspension.
·Fourteenth
tardy you will receive a ticket from the school deputy.
Tests
and Quizzes:
ØTests
will be announced at least a week ahead of time and are worth 40% of your
grade.
ØQuizzes
may be given without warning and are worth 20% of your grade.
ØThe
final exam will be 20% of your grade.
Projects
and Homework:
ØProjects
will be assigned and will be worth 5% of your grade.
ØHomework
is assigned on a nightly basis…including Fridays!
·Homework
is worth 15% of your grade
·Homework
can only be made up from absences.
·No
late work will be accepted!
Problems
of the Week:
ØProblems
are discussed on Mondays and due the following Monday.
ØEach
student is required to complete 2 PoWs of their choice each month.

is unacceptable and will result in a grade of 0% as well as a referral
to an assistant principal.
