About Ms. Tolisano
Originally, I grew up in Avon, Connecticut. I graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and earned my teaching credential. Since I enjoy traveling, I spent a semester abroad taking literature classes at the University College in London. Soon after graduating, I moved out to Santa Clarita Valley where I accepted my first teaching position at Saugus High School. After moving here, I attended California State University, Northridge in 2004 where I earned a Masters Degree in English Education. In November of 2009, I became a National Board certificated teacher. Currently, I teach 9th grade English and run the Saugus Yearbook program on campus. I’m also working on a Masters Degree in School Counseling through the University of La Verne. When I am not teaching or going back to school, I enjoy reading, photography, traveling, and walking my mini dachshund named Mimi.
