About Me

I'm excited to be entering my 18th year as a science teacher at Saugus High School. I have a BS in Biochemistry from UCLA (Go Bruins!!!!) and an MA in Secondary Science Education from CSUN.  After graduating from UCLA I spent 13 months working for the National Genetics Institute performing tests for blood borne diseases like HIV, hepatitis and West Nile Virus.

In addition to teaching various science classes throughout the years, I taught one semester of French 1 and coached varying levels of basketball at Saugus for 6 years and helped with the swim team for 3 years.

In my free time I enjoy UCLA sporting events especially football and basketball.  In the fall you can find me at the Rose Bowl with 80,000 of my best friends cheering on the Bruins.  I also like to travel and have visited 47 of the 50 states.  I'm hoping to hit the other 3 in the next few years. I also have a pet lizard, Ike, who's a rather entertaining bearded dragon.
