Course Description

BODY CONDITIONING Grades 10-12
 
Fulfills the Physical Education requirement for graduation Body conditioning is a one semester, 5 credit physical education class that meets one fourth of the Hart District physical education graduation requirement.
 
This is a fitness intensive class in which students will address the areas of muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and body composition through teacher designed work out stations using a form of High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T) and cardiovascular conditioning. Students are required to maintain an exercise Journal on a daily basis, and be prepared to exercise each and every day. Students will gain knowledge of the proper use of exercise equipment and techniques of a variety of exercises as well as the muscles or muscle groups affected by each exercise.
