Upcoming Events and important dates:
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be taking place at Saugus High School on Thursday, March 1, at 1:00 PM. Any 10th, 11th or 12th grader who would like to take this very important career aptitude test may sign up now in the counseling office. The ASVAB is one of the most common tests for high school students to take to help identify their career interests and abilities. The test is free and open to all students, whether they are planning on entering the military or not. For students who do enlist in the military after high school, 11th and 12th grade scores on the ASVAB can be used to qualify for various careers while serving in the armed services.
March 1 is a district-wide minimum day, so students will not be missing any instructional time to take the test. The test will begin at 1:00 PM, will last until around 4:00 PM, and is taking place in the S building lecture hall. To register, please either come to the counseling office and sign up on the registration sheet, or e-mail ASVAB coordinator Mr. Fricke with the student's name at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Junior Senior Prom “Lost in Atlantis” will be held this year at the Long Beach Aquarium on May 5th. More information and details are coming in the next few weeks...
