Saugus HS events and information:  Week of April 9th - April 13th, 2018.

 

 

The Junior / Senior Prom “Lost in Atlantis” will be held this year at the Long Beach Aquarium on May 5th. Prom Packets are available in the ASB office and the front desk.

The packet must be filled out completely before your student may purchase a ticket. Prices this week are $135 with an ASB card and $140 without an ASB card. Cash and charge are the only forms of payment, no personal checks.  Prom Tickets will be sold during both brunches and during lunchtime. The Prom ticket does include luxury bus transportation and dinner. The Promenade will begin sharply at 4:30 here on the Saugus campus and students will be brought back to campus at midnight.

 

Class Officer Elections are coming up on April 13th. Please encourage your students to participate in this school wide voting opportunity to select their class representatives for next year.

 

Yearbooks - The yearbook will be here soon, and we only have a few books remaining for sale.The book is selling currently for $85, but will increase to $100 on April 1.  Books can only be purchased at online at www.yearbookforever.com.  Make your book more personalized with name plaques, which can be purchased online too. Don’t let your child miss out!

Cheer Update: Monday, April 9th there is a mandatory parent meeting. The check in time is  6:30 PM and the meeting begins at 7:00 pm in the S-Lecture hall.

 

REACH Applications are now available in room Q-1715 at lunch for the Fall 2018 school year. REACH is a college preparatory program for students with a 2.5-3.5 GPA and a strong desire to attend a 4-year college or university. Students in REACH benefit from tutorials, test preparation, college and career awareness, and study skills. Applications due April 17.

A reminder from our Library:  As Saugus High School prepares its students for the challenges of the future, the Library Media Center is committed to developing students who will graduate as responsible life-long learners, who are information literate, and who recognize the importance of information access to a democratic society. Open before school, brunch, lunch, and after school. Closed occasionally for meetings, special events, and testing. Monday & Wednesday 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Please encourage your students to take advantage of our Library for their study needs.

Seniors! Saugus High School would like to celebrate your college acceptances. Please print out copies of your college admissions letters and/or e-mails, and bring them to the counseling office. We would like to recognize you and all the colleges you have been accepted to with special recognition on SNN!

The Saugus Theater Department is proud to present their Spring Musical, Beauty and the Beast which will run April 19th, 20th, and 25th - 28th, 2018:  Shows start at 7pm.  Location TBD Ticket Price: $12 for adults, $8 for students.

 

Jazz night with the Saugus Jazz Band, under the direction of Jay Jarrett, will be at Vincenzo's on Thursday, April 26th at 6:30 pm. Come early to get a good seat and enjoy the show.

The Spring Choir concert will be Thursday, May 10th at Hart High Auditorium.
